DECEMBER 4TH TO DECEMBER 10TH, 2008
HOMICIDE

On 10/17/06 at approximately 0517 hours, Albuquerque Police Officers were flagged down by a passer-by at 11 th St./Kinley NW in reference an unresponsive male on the side of the street. The male was in a “seated” position leaning against a chain link fence. Officers observed the male to be unconscious, not breathing, and he had no pulse. Rescue was immediately called and it was determined the male was deceased.

Officers learned the male, later identified as Adrian Ortega, died from blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and abdominal area. Officers also learned Adrian was watching a football game with a friend, at a nearby residence, and was possibly attempting to walk home. It is unknown how Adrian sustained his injuries or who is responsible for his death.
