Commercial Burglary

Police need your help in identifying the individual responsible for burglarizing K&G Fuels, located at 5605 4th St. NW. The suspect broke the front glass door with a blunt object and stole several cases of beer and packs of cigarettes once inside the store.

The suspect is believed to be driving a gold smaller van and is described as a Hispanic male in his 20’s, approximately 5’7- 130 lbs. with black hair.

Felony Larceny

3 Year Old Purebred English Bulldog
Fawn with white markings on chest and head
Approximately 25 Inches tall and 30 inches long - 60lbs
Name is Bruno and he was wearing tags with a green collar

Police need your help in locating the person(s) responsible for taking Bruno. He was taken without permission late afternoon on 06/17/2009 in the Juan Tabo Hills Subdivision. Bruno was lured out of the backyard with food and the suspect(s) cut a lock to gain entry into the backyard.  Anybody with information about this crime is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers.

auto burglary of a police vehicle

2003 Hummer (similar to suspects vehicle)

On June 2, 2009 between the hours of noon and 1:00pm, unknown offender(s) burglarized an undercover police vehicle at 4701 San Mateo NE. Several items were taken which included:

(2) Firearms- (1) .45 caliber Kimber and (1) .40 caliber Glock w/ Magazines.
(1)Police Issued Taser
(1) Police Raid Vest
(1) Bullet Proof Vest
(2) Police Badges- Task Force and Bernalillo County Sheriffs

June 4th TO June 10th, 2009
auto theft

The pictured male is suspected of stealing a 2001 Chevy Silverado Truck from the 11000 block of Gable Lane NE. The victim of this case was able to capture a video with his security camera, of the suspect taking his truck without permission.

The offender is described as a white male between the ages of 16-20, 5'9-150lbs. with blonde hair.

May 21st TO May 27th , 2009
Unidentified Child

On May 15, 2009, the ramins of an unidentified male child were found buried in sand at a city playground. The child is estimated to be between 3 and 5 years of age and is believed to have died within 3 days of his discovery. He may be of American Indian or Hispanic descent. He had dark brown to black hair. The child was wearing a red t-shirt with a red monster truck decal; black pants with an elastic waistband and two red vertical stripes down each pant leg; and black Sketcher sneakers with green and white horizontal stripes. Photographs of the child's clothing are shown above. The image at left is a composite created by a forensic artist at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to depict what the child may have looked like in life. Items such as eye color and hair style are the artist's estimations to complete the image and should not be used as significant markers for indentification.

Forgery, check fraud, conspiracy

 

Police need your help in identifying two females suspected of forgery and check fraud. On April 27, 2009 two females entered the Target store located at 11120 Lomas NE. Both females entered together and separated once inside the store and selected several items for purchase and approached different cashiers. They then wrote fraudulent checks from the same account and exited together.

Both were seen leaving the parking lot in a black or blue four door Mercury Contour with passenger side front damage. The car also had a temporary tag posted in the rear window.

Felony criminal damage to property

 

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help in identifying  individual(s) responsible for shattering numerous vehicle windows in Northeast Albuquerque. The suspect(s) utilized a pellet gun during their spree and caused damage to over 50 vehicles.

The suspect(s) vandalized these vehicles during the late night and early morning hours between 05/04/2009 and 05/06/2009 and may be driving an older model truck.

On April 7th, 2009, Austin Azarias was allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting which occurred at 4700 Tramway NE, Smith’s Grocery Store parking lot. He currently has a felony warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

FELONY LARCENY

Police need your help in identifying the person in the above pictures. This unknown male is responsible for the theft of four surveillance cameras from 5801 Coors NW, Route 66 Rapid Wash. Each camera is worth $500.00 for a total of a $2,000.00 dollar loss. These crimes occurred on 3/3/09 and 4/12/09.

April 16th TO APRIL 23rd, 2009
DRIVE-BY SHOOTING, AGGRAVATED BATTERY

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help in reference to a drive-by shooting. On February 12th, 2009, at approximately 9 PM, a shooting occurred at 2716 Morris St. NE.  Karen Madero was struck in the arm by a bullet which caused serious injury.  It is believed the target of the shooting was a neighbor, but the offender shot into the wrong residence. 

One witness heard several shots fired and saw a white Honda Civic heading south on Morris at a high rate of speed after the shooting.

HOMICIDE

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help for information related to a homicide. On January 2, 2009 at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, Lee Budick was shot while working at the Busy Bee Car Wash, located at 5301 2nd St. N.W.  Budick was shot in the back and transported to the hospital where he later died from his wounds.  It's unknown at this time where the single gunshot came from. MARCH 26TH TO APRIL 1ST, 2009
ARMED ROBBERY- HIGHLAND PHARMACY

On 02/26/2009, unknown offenders entered the Highland Pharmacy located at 717 Encino Pl. NE and committed an armed robbery. They threatened several employees by placing guns to their heads and demanded Oxycontin and Percocet. The employees complied with the robbers demands and filled a bag with an undetermined amount of drugs. These drugs are believed to be Oxycontin, Endocet, Percocet, Roxicet, Oxycodone, Opana, and Oramorph. Many of the drugs were in capsules similar to the ones pictured above.

The suspects were described as being in their 20’s. One suspect was approximately 5’6- 130-140 lbs. while the other was described as being 5’10-6’0 tall - 180-200 lbs. No other description was obtained from the victims.

MARCH 19TH TO MARCH 25TH, 2009
FATAL HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

On 3/11/09, at approximately 1944 hrs., Ronald Hargrove was crossing Zuni Rd., southbound on Pennsylvania St. on a bicycle. As he crossed the inside lane of westbound traffic, his bicycle was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle which struck him then fled the scene.  It was last seen headed west on Zuni Rd. Mr. Hargrove was transported to UNMH, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a 2000-ish model Honda Civic.  It is described as a dark, metallic color.  It is likely to have damage on the front, driver's side.

IDENTITY THEFT, CHECK FRAUD, AUTO THEFT

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help in identifying an individual suspected in Identity Theft, Check Fraud and Auto Theft. He is described as a Hispanic male, between 20-30 years of age, 160- 180 lbs. with brown hair and eyes.

This subject arrived to the Target on Eubank on 12-24-08 driving a stolen Ford Explorer that has since been recovered.  The subject fraudulently opened up accounts or attempted to pass checks at Hollywood Video, Smith's grocery store, and Blockbuster Video.

MARCH 5TH TO MARCH 11TH, 2009
AGGRAVATED ASSUALT W/ DEADLY WEAPON, LARCENY

On 12/19/2008, four Hispanic males entered the 7-11 store at 1111 Lomas NW and committed a larceny of several packs of beer. Another male, approximately 13-16 years old and described as “husky” with a round face and no hair, was waiting outside and pointed a small caliber hand gun at the clerks when they went to follow the suspects as they ran from the store. All five suspects were described as being Hispanic between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. They fled the scene by running northbound in the alley between 11th Street and 12th street.

FEBRUARY 26TH TO MARCH 4TH, 2009
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

Police are looking for three Individuals responsible for burglarizing the Target Store located at Paseo Del Norte and Interstate 25 on February 23, 2009. The three suspects entered the building by using a Baseball Bat to bust out a glass door on the East Side of the Store.  The suspects were wearing “hoodies” and had their face covered while in the store.  The suspects stole three Wii Game Hardware Units and then broke the glass to the Apple IPOD Showcase and took over (56) IPOD’s.  The total loss of this burglary is just over $10,000.00.

A vehicle of interest is similar to the one pictured above. It is described as a 2003 Nissan Altima with a sticker on the side window (Driver’s side). The vehicle also appears to have an after market fin on the rear,

On 11/25/07, Albuquerque Police Officers responded to a male who was possibly deceased.  Upon arrival police officers observed a male, identified as Richard Garcia.  Rescue was immediately called and it was determined Richard was deceased.  Officers also observed the apartment to be in great disarray and it appeared a physical altercation might have occurred.

During the course of the investigation, detectives interviewed two possible witnesses, Lorraine Brown and Jackie McFarland.  Homicide Detectives would like to speak with the two possible witnesses a second time, but have not been able to locate them.

BURGLARY OF FIREARMS


Police need your help in identifying individual(s) responsible for the theft of approximately $500,000 worth of firearms in Moriarty, NM. The thieves also found vehicles, precious books, art and family heirlooms dating back to the 1800’s in the buildings off State Road 41 in Torrance County. Many of the firearms are brand new in boxes and many are collector’s items.

FEBRUARY 5TH TO FEBRUARY 11TH, 2009
ARMED ROBBERY


Police need your help in identifying an individual who committed a robbery at Big 5 Sporting Goods on 10/15/08 and attempted another robbery on 1/23/09. In both instances the suspect selected a drink from the cooler and waited until there was no line at the register. He then approached the register and presented the drink for purchase. The cashier rang the sale and he paid with cash. Once the sale was tendered, the suspect stated he had a gun and demanded the money from the register. The suspect vehicle is possibly a black Chevrolet Cobalt.

JANUARY 29TH TO FEBRUARY 4TH, 2009
ARMED ROBBERY


Police need your help in identifying an individual responsible for an armed robbery at the JC Penny’s Home Store located at 3101 Menaul NE. The Male (Identified as a Hispanic Male, approximately 5’8- 240 lbs. in his middle 30’s) entered the store and shopped for approximately 10 minutes. He then approached the counter with a Hannah Montana lunch box and implied a weapon to the clerk and demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect also threatened to shoot the clerk if his demand was not met. He then fled the store in an unknown direction.
