February 25th to March 3rd, 2010
Kidnapping


The drawing above is a male suspected of stalking and eventually kidnapping a female victim. He is described as a clean cut Hispanic male, fit, and approximately 30 years old, with a slight accent. The suspect hid in the back seat of the victim’s vehicle until she entered. He held her at knife point, drugged her, and stabbed her several times. He eventually dumped her on the side of the road. Homicide


On December 17, 2008, Sammy Chavez was found deceased at the Martinez Town Park located at 1825 Edith NW. He was shot several times and died as a result of his injuries. January 28th to February 3rd, 2010
Aggravated Battery With A Deadly Weapon


On January 3, 2010, at approximately 0215 hours, a shooting occurred in the parking lot outside Paparazzi’s nightclub located at 9401 Coors Blvd NW. After a verbal argument, the male, pictured above, fired one round at the victim, hitting him in the leg/groin area. The suspect then fled on foot, and has not been located. The suspect is known as “Weto” or "Wedo”. The suspect is Hispanic, 22-23 years old, 5’10” and clean shaven. He was armed with a .45 semi-auto handgun. January 21st to January 27th, 2010
Armed Robbery


On January 8, 2010, and again on January 10, 2010 the individual shown above robbed the Chevron, located at 1000 Rio Grande NW. The male was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. He is described as a white or Hispanic adult male, approximately six feet tall and 150-180 lbs. It is believed that he frequents the area and may be homeless. January 14th to January 20th, 2010


The Albuquerque Police Department is seeking information on individuals who may be selling stolen property. Every year millions of dollars in stolen property is resold through either a “Chop Shop”, where parts are removed from a stolen vehicle and resold as used vehicle parts, or through fencing operations. A fencing operation is an operation where stolen property is sold to an individual at a discounted rate. The person selling the property and the person buying the known stolen property could be arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. January 7th to January 14th, 2010
homicide


On December 18, 2009, at approximately 2330 hours, a white Chevy sedan was westbound on Central stopped at the red traffic light at 12th Street.  A SUV came up along-side the Chevy sedan and stopped.  Words were exchanged between the driver of the SUV and the front seat occupants of the Chevy sedan.  The driver of the SUV pulled out a handgun and began firing at the front seat occupants of the Chevy sedan.  Julian Washington, the front seat passenger was killed, and the driver of the Chevy sedan was wounded.  The SUV then sped away, westbound on Central.
Police are looking for a newer model SUV, possible white, beige, or light brown.  The SUV has black rims with low profile tires and after-market dark tail light covers.  The driver was only described as a young Hispanic male

December 24th to December 30th, 2009
fraudelent use of a credit card


Police need your help identifying the suspects shown above. On November 21, 2009, at approximately 11:25 pm the females shown above entered Wal-Mart located at 8000 Academy NE. They selected numerous items and proceeded to pay for them with a stolen credit card. This same credit card was used at several different stores around the city, totaling in over $1800.00 of unauthorized purchases. Auto Burglary


On November 8, 2009, at approximately 1830 hours, the male shown in the photo entered the Hawthorne Inn Suites Hotel and spoke with the desk clerk. The male then burglarized a vehicle in the parking lot before leaving in a dark colored, full-sized, 4-door, pickup, shown above, which appears to be missing the hood. December 10th to December 16th, 2009
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon


Police need your help identifying the male shown above. On November 30, 2009, at approximately 1930 hours, the male shown above entered Wal-Mart located at 2550 Coors NW. The male selected a pair of gloves and placed them into his pocket. He then selected the battery shown in the picture, and attempted to leave the store. The Wal-Mart Store Greeter stopped the male at the door and took the battery from him. The male then exited the store with the gloves in his pocket. Wal-Mart Loss Prevention Officers attempted to stop the male, at which time he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employees. The male ran to a gray Infinity and fled the scene.

December 3rd to December 9th, 2009
Commercial Burglary


On October 17th, 2009, and again on October 27, 2009, the vehicle above was utilized to burglarize A.S. Horner located at 6280 State Rd. 303. During the burglary over $18,000 worth of antique property was stolen. Some of the property stolen included silver bars, stamped .999, turquoise jewelry including one large “Squash Blossom”, several firearms including a Marlin .22 lever action rifle with a broken stock wrapped in fishing line, and two wedding rings. FRAUDULENT USE OF A CREDIT CARD

The suspects pictured above entered Target, located at 11120 Lomas Blvd. NE, and attempted to purchase merchandise with a credit card that had been stolen in a burglary the previous day.

November 19th to November 25th, 2009
LARCENY


The suspect pictured above in the tan shirt and baseball cap is shown entering Albertson’s located at 11825 Lomas NE. He proceeded to an employee only area in the back of the store and took possession of a floor buffer valued at over $2000.00. The suspect loaded the floor buffer into a U-Haul truck and left the area. The suspect in this case is suspected of committing similar thefts in other cities in New Mexico, and may not be working alone. He has been known to present false identification in order to pawn the stolen items.

Police need your help identifying these individuals. They are suspected of burglarizing Big 5 Sporting Goods located at 3140 Coors Blvd. NW on November 2, 2009. The suspect in the maroon t-shirt has a butterfly tattoo on his left forearm.

October 29th to November 4th, 2009
ROBBERY TO AN INDIVIDUAL


Police need your help in identifying this individual.
On October 26, 2009 at approximately 7:50 PM, a Hispanic male forcefully grabbed a purse from a female customer at 1201 Unser SW, Walgreens, in Albuquerque. This resulted in the victim to violently fall to the ground causing minor injuries. The purse contained $800.00 cash and prescription medications.

October 22nd to October 28th, 2009
Extreme Animal Cruelty


On 09/21/09 at approximately 1230 hours, Lisa C. was working in the backyard of her residence near Guadalupe Trail NW and Los Poblanos NW in Albuquerque.  Lisa's cat, Gracie, was also in the backyard.  While on the phone with a friend, Lisa heard a loud pop then heard Gracie "land hard" in some gravel near the backyard fence.  After several minutes, Lisa got off the phone and went to check on Gracie.  When Lisa called, Gracie came to her looking confused & struggling to breathe.  Lisa picked up Gracie and took her into the house, whereupon she noticed blood on her arms.  Lisa immediately took Gracie to the veterinary, whereupon Gracie died a painful death later that afternoon.  A .22 bullet was recovered from Gracie during a necropsy.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department’s Valley Impact Team, this is not the first cat that has mysteriously died in the area

The Attorney General's Animal Cruelty Task Force has a $5000 reward for any information leading to an arrest of Gracie's killer, but does not promise anonymity.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY


The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help in the identification of this individual. He is suspected of several burglaries that occurred in downtown Albuquerque. The suspect has allegedly burglarized Slices Pizza three times in one week and also is suspected of burglarizing the Gold Street Caffe, also in downtown Albuquerque, on October 14th, 2009.

BURGLARY


The Albuquerque Police Department’s Burglary Unit needs your help in capturing the person(s) responsible for a burglary that occurred on October 3, 2009.

The Burglary occurred to a balloonist’s trailer at a motel located at San Antonio Dr. and Interstate 25 (Quality Inn). The Suspect(s) were able to gain unauthorized entry and take a backpack (Pictured) that was in the trailer. The backpack contained valuable personal items belonging to the victim.

October 1st to October 7th, 2009
Arson


Over the past year, the Albuquerque Fire Department has responded to nine fires in the UNM area, in or around the Telos House. All the fires have been intentionally set. Arson Investigators believe the fires were set by the same individual(s). The last fire occurred on September 17, 2009, at 2:52am to 1815 Sigma Chi NE. When AFD units arrived, the building was occupied, and there was heavy smoke and flames coming from a downstairs room. Firefighters were able to evacuate everyone safely.

Residential Burglary


During the early morning hours of Sept 20, 2009, a residence in Santa Clara Pueblo was broken into and approximately $9000.00 worth of Native American items were taken from the house. Items taken included Kachina dolls, Hopi rattles, and black pottery bowls.

September 17th TO September 23rd, 2009
Homicide


Crime Stoppers needs your help in locating the individual or individuals responsible for a homicide that occurred at 1897 Coors SW in Albuquerque.

On Sunday, September 7th, 2008, at approximately 7:00 PM, deputies were dispatched to 1897 Coors SW in reference to a homicide. The suspect is described as a light skin Hispanic male, thin lips and prominent braces. The suspect was last seen in a green, full-size, extended cab Chevrolet truck.

38 Years Old

On May 12, 2009, Marquis Dann was fatally shot through his apartment window at 5001 San Mateo Ln. NE. Shortly after shots were fired, two young males were observed running from the scene

AUTO BURGLARY

Police need your help in the identification of this individual. He is wanted for questioning in reference to an Auto Burglary where over a million dollars in jewelry (Diamonds) were taken. The offense occurred on September 2, 2009 at Walgreens, located at Carlisle and Menaul NE in Albuquerque.

The individual is only wanted for questioning as a witness and is not a suspect at this time. He is described as a Hispanic male with a goatee, wearing a plaid button-up shirt and blue jeans shorts.

Upon investigation, it was found that Isaac may have attended a concert in Santa Fe (Atmosphere) on the evening of August 15th and then traveled to Albuquerque to attend a party on Gorrion NW.

Police need your help in identifying the pictured individuals. They have allegedly been affecting Circle-K stores within the Albuquerque Area. The tactic that has been used is that a couple with a baby, toddler, and an elderly woman enter the store. The male loiters around the end of the sales counter, while the elderly female typically will dispense a hot beverage and create a distraction to the store employees by spilling it. While one employee handles the spill, the female with the children will distract the other employee with conversation. The male then sneaks behind the sales counter and grabs as many cartons of cigarettes as he can. In the last incident, he was able to leave the store with approximately $1,000 worth of cigarettes.

Aggravated Battery W/A Deadly Weapon

On Friday, June 12, 2009, the victim pulled up to a Wells Fargo ATM located at 3801 4th St NW.  A male subject approached the victim’s vehicle with a handgun. The male subject told the victim to give him his cell phone, wallet, and to withdraw as much money from the ATM as possible.  The victim tried to escape by driving away.  The male subject fired a round from the handgun striking the victim.  The male subject has a tattoo on his right forearm and is a Spanish speaker, however he did speak in broken English.

On Monday, 06-29-09, a male subject entered Bed Bath & Beyond #1228 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The subject went directly to the cleaning department, selected a Dyson vacuum and removed the protective wrap. Approximately two minutes later, he went out the entrance door without paying for it. The subject left in an older Ford Ranger pickup truck which was parked on the side of the building.

The Dyson vacuum, upc# 879957002296, is valued at $549.99.

The pictured male is suspected of stealing a 2001 Chevy Silverado Truck from the 11000 block of Gable Lane NE. The victim of this case was able to capture a video with his security camera, of the suspect taking his truck without permission.

The offender is described as a white male between the ages of 16-20, 5'9-150lbs. with blonde hair.

Unidentified Child

On May 15, 2009, the ramins of an unidentified male child were found buried in sand at a city playground. The child is estimated to be between 3 and 5 years of age and is believed to have died within 3 days of his discovery. He may be of American Indian or Hispanic descent. He had dark brown to black hair. The child was wearing a red t-shirt with a red monster truck decal; black pants with an elastic waistband and two red vertical stripes down each pant leg; and black Sketcher sneakers with green and white horizontal stripes. Photographs of the child's clothing are shown above. The image at left is a composite created by a forensic artist at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to depict what the child may have looked like in life. Items such as eye color and hair style are the artist's estimations to complete the image and should not be used as significant markers for indentification.

Police need your help in identifying two females suspected of forgery and check fraud. On April 27, 2009 two females entered the Target store located at 11120 Lomas NE. Both females entered together and separated once inside the store and selected several items for purchase and approached different cashiers. They then wrote fraudulent checks from the same account and exited together.

Both were seen leaving the parking lot in a black or blue four door Mercury Contour with passenger side front damage. The car also had a temporary tag posted in the rear window.

DRIVE-BY SHOOTING, AGGRAVATED BATTERY

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help in reference to a drive-by shooting. On February 12th, 2009, at approximately 9 PM, a shooting occurred at 2716 Morris St. NE.  Karen Madero was struck in the arm by a bullet which caused serious injury.  It is believed the target of the shooting was a neighbor, but the offender shot into the wrong residence. 

One witness heard several shots fired and saw a white Honda Civic heading south on Morris at a high rate of speed after the shooting.

HOMICIDE

The Albuquerque Police Department needs your help for information related to a homicide. On January 2, 2009 at approximately 1:30 in the afternoon, Lee Budick was shot while working at the Busy Bee Car Wash, located at 5301 2nd St. N.W.  Budick was shot in the back and transported to the hospital where he later died from his wounds.  It's unknown at this time where the single gunshot came from. MARCH 26TH TO APRIL 1ST, 2009
ARMED ROBBERY- HIGHLAND PHARMACY

On 02/26/2009, unknown offenders entered the Highland Pharmacy located at 717 Encino Pl. NE and committed an armed robbery. They threatened several employees by placing guns to their heads and demanded Oxycontin and Percocet. The employees complied with the robbers demands and filled a bag with an undetermined amount of drugs. These drugs are believed to be Oxycontin, Endocet, Percocet, Roxicet, Oxycodone, Opana, and Oramorph. Many of the drugs were in capsules similar to the ones pictured above.

The suspects were described as being in their 20’s. One suspect was approximately 5’6- 130-140 lbs. while the other was described as being 5’10-6’0 tall - 180-200 lbs. No other description was obtained from the victims.

MARCH 19TH TO MARCH 25TH, 2009
FATAL HIT AND RUN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

On 3/11/09, at approximately 1944 hrs., Ronald Hargrove was crossing Zuni Rd., southbound on Pennsylvania St. on a bicycle. As he crossed the inside lane of westbound traffic, his bicycle was struck by a vehicle.  The vehicle which struck him then fled the scene.  It was last seen headed west on Zuni Rd. Mr. Hargrove was transported to UNMH, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a 2000-ish model Honda Civic.  It is described as a dark, metallic color.  It is likely to have damage on the front, driver's side.

This subject arrived to the Target on Eubank on 12-24-08 driving a stolen Ford Explorer that has since been recovered.  The subject fraudulently opened up accounts or attempted to pass checks at Hollywood Video, Smith's grocery store, and Blockbuster Video.
