Scam Alert!Health Insurance Policy FraudAs health insurance premiums continue to increase, it can be tempting to look to more affordable, but less known health plans. While some of these policies may live up to their promises, a growing number of fraudulent plans are being advertised.A recent study by Mila Kofman, JD, of Georgetown University’s Health Place Institute has discovered hundreds of thousands of innocent victims of these scams. The report shows that more than 100,000 premium-paying members were left with $85 million in unpaid medical expenses. The best way to protect yourself is to investigate a health
